“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Natural smiles and happiness

The Living Arrows project took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”.

Every week, I shall be posting a photo taken the week before and I can’t wait to see the collection at the end of the year.

My photo from week 4:

I love this photo. We went on a walk / bike ride this weekend and towards the end of the track we found a little stick den that someone had made. Bear took his helmet off and went in to explore and this photo was taken just after he came out. I did my usual ‘say something silly to get a real smile’ and it worked – resulting in this beauty. I know that everyone else may not agree but I adore this as he just looks so happy.

He’s also wearing my gloves as his biking gloves have gone missing and his hands we getting so cold – at least I could put mine in my pockets as I followed behind.

Thanks for reading,

  1. This is an adorable picture – from the lovely natural giggle to the rosy cheeks from being outdoors, and the cuteness of him wearing your gloves. A happy memory from an everyday moment. That’s what it’s about, isn’t it? #WeekendBlogShare

  2. Awww, he’s the cutest little boy with a beautiful smile! I struggle to get my son to smile naturally too – he either pulls silly faces (which isn’t a bad thing but not in ALL photos!) or smiles awkwardly. Oh well, we try don’t we? xx #LivingArrows

  3. Oh that smile is gorgeous. He is such a handsome boy Hannah – you must be so proud. Just look at him. I remember when I started reading your blog and he was just a tot – it makes me quite emotional to see him all big! x
