The Living Arrows project took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”.
Every week, I shall be posting a photo taken the week before and I can’t wait to see the collection at the end of the year.
My photo from week 3:
Once again, like last week, it’s terrible quality as it was in low light but at the end of the day, these photo’s are a snapshot of my little boy’s life, week after week, and real life isn’t aways picture perfect. This week, as you may have guessed, saw my Bear’s 5 th birthday come and go, followed by, on Saturday, a swimming party. After a fabulous swim, all the children went into one of the exercise rooms for a party tea and we decided to do the cake first so that it could be chopped and put into party bags without a big rush at the end.
I had made the cake myself and it was such an ordeal – I can’t convey this in a short post but nonetheless, I am so glad that I did it as in the end, Bear adored it and I think you see that in the photo. If you look at me, I look a bit sad but I think I was just caught at a moment of exhaustion and relief at it all going as planned. It does make me laugh though!
Thanks for reading,
Love,
