Living Arrows 2017 14/52

The Living Arrows project took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”.

Every week, I shall be posting a photo taken the week before and I can’t wait to see the collection at the end of the year.

This week’s photo:

Another week, another picture.

I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for the Easter holidays. It’s time for some fun. I can’t wait to be out and about with Bear. The holidays’s exhaust me but they fill my heart and soul with what I need to carry me through.

This weekend, Bear wanted to go to his favourite bike track. It’s a great place with bike tracks and walking trails, amazing views and also, a fabulous play area. It’s all natural with tree houses, a mud kitchen, a round hut, ladders that invite you to climb trees and the brilliant swamp area that Bear was taken with.

It’s not dangerous but there is a good element of risk – if he were to fall in, he knew that we wouldn’t be able to go into the cafe and if he got really wet and dirty, I told him that we’d have to go home as it was quite cold. He still went for it and pushed himself to go faster and faster. There were a few near misses but he did really well – he also was a little monkey and pretended to fall a few times to try and scare me.

One more week at school and then we’re free to explore. I’m counting down the days…

Thanks for reading,

Love,

  1. This is a great project, this will help us understand our kids better. Parents need to have a complete look and a visionary.

  2. A lot of people have said they can’t wait for the holidays – it feels like it’s been a long one doesn’t it? Hope you have some great time off together over the break #LivingArrows

  3. I love how outdoorsy you are. He always looks so comfortable in the great outdoors and it’s just so lovely to see x
