The Living Arrows project took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”.
Every week, I shall be posting a photo taken the week before and I can’t wait to see the collection at the end of the year.
This week’s photo:
I nearly missed another week of Living Arrows.
Life is so so good with my baby boy off school but I just can’t manage anything else on top of caring for him. We have had some wonderful times with friends this holiday and this photo was taken from a day out that he had waited for and been so excited for, for weeks.
The place we visited is an American Diner with straw barns and play areas. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is that really draws him to this place – we have a straw barn play area that’s closer to our home but I think he loves this place so much due to the scale of the barns – they are massive with tunnels and foam pits.
I took this photo in the middle of a game of hide and seek. We visited with my big sister and our friend and her daughter who is 11 years old. She is so lovely and caring and really looks after Bear. Some girls her age would be a bit fed up to have to play with a 5 year old that annoyingly adores you but she is such a lovely girl. A massive credit to her Mum.
Bear was hiding at the point and he wanted me to quickly take a photo as “she’s coming” and get out of the way! I love the face he is pulling – he’s almost beside himself by the thought that she’ll catch him. Lots of fun.
Thanks for reading,

Absolutely gorgeous ❤️
He looks so excited!! That play barn sounds amazing and just the sort of place A and T would like. All the soft play type places here are really plastic and clinical almost – no hay barns! x
Oh it sounds so fun! No wonder he has that big smile on his face! What a sweetheart. xx

I can not take my eyes off the picture, it’s gorgeous. Bear is really excited with this game. He believes that the girl can not find him. That’s so funny!
