Living Arrows 2017 19/52

The Living Arrows project took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Every week, I shall be posting a photo taken the week before and I can't wait to see the collection at the end of the year.

My photo from the last week, was taken on Saturday. Those that read my blog will already know that Bear spends his life outside and loves his bike. Sadly, I can’t take him for the type of bike ride that he really wants to go on – he could ride for miles but thankfully, he has a wonderful Aunty, my fabulous sister, who took him for a great off road ride.

Rachael (my sister) and her husband, have a brilliant camper-van. They themselves lead a very outdoorsy and fit lifestyle and the bike rack is attached to that vehicle. Bear was so excited when she arrived to collect him. I hadn’t told him that she was bringing the van and so it was a great surprise. He loves it as he gets to sit in the front and it is so high up. He’s also fascinated by the fact that it has a sink and tap, a hob and all the little cupboards. A couple of years ago we were lucky enough to go camping in it for a few days and had a brilliant experience.

Anyway, off they went and from what I have heard, had a really nice time. Bear managed the trail easily and would have gladly carried on for longer and so Rachael is planning a much bigger ride with Bear, her husband and a picnic.

What a lucky boy.

More photo’s as I found it hard to choose between them.

  1. Oh what a wonderful adventure! It’s so lovely that you both have your sister and her husband – they sound like lovely people and that camper sounds like a dream!! x

  2. Mastering the bike without stabilisers is our mission for this summer. Amy is determined to do it and your little man seems to be really enjoying the sense of freedom it gives him 🙂 #LivingArrows

  3. That is lucky. N loves the novelty of motorhomes and the like too. He’d love a good trail ride too, but my knee hurts too much when I ride my bike at the moment. #livingarrows

  4. Its great that your sister can take him out on his bike. It lookd like he had a great time, hopefully you will get to go camping in the van again soon xx #LivingArrows

  5. Sounds like he had a fantastic time! That’s great that he’s so close with your sister. Ooh, the camper van sounds great – we’d like one of those one day. The adventures to be had! x #LivingArrows
