Little Screen at Showcase 18th/19th June
Well, aren’t we having a wonderful summer, weather wise? Hmmmn, maybe not. After a few nice days, the heavens have opened and all our dog walks are muddy, the parks are waterlogged and there have been horrific flash floods, all over the country.
If you are looking for things to do with younger children, outside of this house, I’ve got some fun news. This weekend, June (18th and 19th), a brand new cinema experience for pre-schoolers will be coming to Showcase venues across the country. LittleScreen, for little people but on a BIG screen, brings together some of children’s favourite shows and characters to the cinema for the very first time. It’s a great opportunity for a first cinema trip if you’ve been wanting to go but have been nervous.
The screenings last for 1hr which is much more manageable for little ones and there is also an interval for toilet breaks and fidget bums! The shows will include some fantastic episodes from Thomas & Friends, Masha and the Bear, Woolly and Tig, Hey Duggee, and Paw Patrol. Yes. Paw Patrol on the big screen. My son is going to go nuts. The screenings are also interactive and will be hosted by a man called Marty and the children will be encouraged to dance, clap and sing along so you don’t have to worry about them making too much noise and sitting perfectly still.

I thought as much, no screenings near to us (arse end of nowhere lol)
Oh no, that’s a real shame
