Boyish & British, Lucas Frank| Competition and Discount Code

I am always on the look out for ‘different’ clothes for Bear. We shop on the high street and are big fans of Joules and Mini Boden, which is why when Boyish & British, Lucas Frank contacted me on Twitter, to offer Bear some clothes to review, I instantly recognised that they had a similar, classic style with a their own twist.

They use strong, bold colours, their Logo is of a lighthouse and the initials LF feature prominently on some of their pieces but not all, if that’s not your style.

We were sent two items. The above, orange Stuart Point Lacrosse Polo shirt and a Pine Island purple hooded sweatshirt as seen below. Bear loves them both. I love the contrasting white collar on the Polo shirt, as well as the crossing oars on the back and the relaxed, yet classic, preppy look. Perfect for a meal out, holiday, party or just a day on the beach as it was for us. I loved that we didn’t see anyone else wearing either of the pieces which can be a problem with some of the other brands.

Both the t-shirt and jumper are in age 5-6 which fit my son perfectly, if not with a little bit of room to grow. I had asked for this size as Bear is quite tall for his age (4yrs 6 months and 110cm) and I was glad that I had. From this, I would presume that the clothes fit the ages they are designed for.

The Jumper is warm and cosy, with strong branding – an L on one side of the zip and an F on the other. Usually, I am not a fan of branding and slogans but again, as it’s not everywhere, I don’t mind this. A few friends have asked me about Lucas Frank after seeing the hoodie and really liked the pieces. There are two pockets on the front, the inside is soft fleece and the hood is lined in cream with a navy velvet ribbon trim.

Lucas Frank was ‘born’  in Yorkshire, alongside the son of the designers that was the inspiration for the brand. They pride themselves on their use of quality fabrics, style and their attention to detail – this I can confirm. They base their designs around classic t-shirts and 4 sports – Polo, Lacrosse, Rugby and Cricket. Quintessentially British and lovely.

If you would like to buy some different yet classic style pieces for a little boy in your life, I am so happy to be able to offer you a discount code of 10% off anything at Lucas Frank. Just click on the link and enter HANNAH10 when prompted.

  1. Clothes are adorable especially the hoodie! Like you, I don’t like huge logos on my girls’ clothes…but in this case, I think the hoodie looks fantastic. I even like how it’s lined in cream and the navy ribbon is an extra detail. 🙂

  2. These clothes look lovely Hannah. My son is getting so fashion conscience nowadays it’s hard to keep up. I’ll have to take a look at Lucas Frank.
